This is actually the best overall car I have had the pleasure of driving for an extended time.

Probably a nice place to destress after a frazzled day at work.
I won’t comment on most of the aesthetics, other than to ask “why??!?!??!?!?!?!??” regarding the C-pillar DLO fail, I suppose some sycophant stylist thinks it adds character or dynamism.

Has it been significantly improved over the previous model? I routinely got those for loaners when I had my IS and always remember being miserable driving it.

Yup. An extremely competent, quiet, and luxurious daily driver.

It is 100% different. Matt Farah summed it up really well in this one take.

It was supremely comfortable going to and from work.

It’s a completely different car. Not just because they started with a new chassis; driving one is a revelation compared to the previous model.
It legitimately a superb car to drive now. No, it isn’t an M5. It isn’t trying to be.
If you can find the time to drive one, do so.

Nice. The old one wasn’t objectively bad or anything, it was just like a Japanese Buick, a bit soul-sucking to drive.

Not anymore.

The interior looks wonderful. But I noticed the switch gear over the gauge cluster, and it’s weird. Reminds of me of horns. That’s the only design miscue I see right away.

Yeah i mentioned the Frankenstein bolts in the article as negative . Sport mode and traction control could have easily been put below.
